Special January Events at First Presbyterian


Wednesday, Jan. 16 - 23—Winter Bible Study Begins 

Rev. Jan Krouskop will introduce us to the gospel of John, focusing on Jesus as the Word made flesh, some of the miracle stories of our Lord and his "I Am" statements.

Jan. 16 - The Word Made Flesh.  John 1: 1-18

Jan. 23 - The Wedding in Cana, the first miraculous sign.  John 2: 1-11



Sunday, Jan. 27—Reception for Our Pastor-Elect

Come meet John and LeAnn Hagmann at a reception in the church fellowship hall, immediately following worship. John, our senior pastor-elect, will be moving here with

his family to start ministry in mid-March.


Wednesday, Jan. 30—Burke United Christian Ministries Night

The meal will be homemade soups, grilled cheese sandwich, and salad with homemade cookies for dessert. There will be a vegetarian soup option available. The cost will be the same as normal Wednesday night meal and registration will be required just like other Wednesday night meals so we know how much to prepare. The program will be a Presentation from David Burleson on BUCM, how they serve the community and volunteer opportunities. We will also begin collecting non-perishable food items for The Souper Bowl of Caring that night.
